Terms of use
These terms cover your use of the Ferry browser extension and this website, provided by PointerApps (“we”, “us”). By using Ferry you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use it.
What Ferry is
Ferry is a clipboard manager for Chrome. It saves things you copy on your device, helps you find and reuse them, and skips secrets it recognises. Today all features are free. We plan a paid Pro plan later; if we introduce it, we will describe it clearly before anything is charged, and features you already use will not start costing money without notice.
Guests and accounts
You can try Ferry as a guest and save 15 clips. To keep saving, you create a free account with an email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Give us accurate details and tell us if you think your account was accessed without permission.
Your content
Your clips are yours. Ferry stores them on your device. We don’t claim any rights over them. You are responsible for what you copy and how you use it.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use Ferry to break the law or violate other people’s rights.
- Don’t attack, overload or try to get around the security of our servers or the account service.
- Don’t reverse engineer the service to build a competing hosted service from our backend.
Secret detection and AI
Ferry tries to skip passwords, codes, card numbers, keys and seed phrases, and uses AI to title and transform clips. Both are automatic and can be wrong. AI output may be inaccurate, so check it before you rely on it. Please don’t treat Ferry as your only copy of anything important.
Features that are not available yet
Encrypted sync, cloud AI and a paid Pro plan are described as “coming soon”. They are plans, not promises, and they may change or not happen.
Availability and changes
We provide Ferry “as is” and “as available”. We may change, pause or stop features, and we may update these terms. For meaningful changes we will update the date above. If you keep using Ferry after a change, you accept it.
Disclaimer and liability
To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about Ferry, and PointerApps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Ferry at any time by removing the extension. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
Privacy
How we handle data is explained in the privacy policy.
